You have not heard that it is shown here in the United States. I think it depends on the effectiveness of antibiotics and how fast it is spreading.
I had never heard of him until recently, said as an Internet friend that her dog had been sick for 2 weeks. The vet said it would proceed as in humans. It seems very difficult on the dog, I hope it is short.
